I have a bad feeling though. If the guy went throught the trouble of swaping a 5spd mt and a ceramic clutch, I'm sure the cars been banged on. It's worth a look, it would make a great snow car. Without even looking, I'm setting my max at $1500, kbb in fair condition is about 2400
Thoughts?

the subaru svx is cool, but they are aquard, and not particularly reliable. plus, look at the windshield on them, that thing will probably cost a fortune to replace.

I'd get the volvo, Talk to VikingJZ, he just bought one and loves it. Plus you get the sweedish car goodness :) . He has all maintenance records. I would get it if I was closer.

I'd be all over an SVX...

But probably not this one. I'd pay $1000 for this one, not a penny more.

The engines in those are no joke. A manual tranny with the final drive he's describing, and that thing would SCREAM when it's in proper order. And they're just so damn cool.

I'd personally spend the money to find a nicer one, with the auto tranny still attached, and do your own manual swap down the road.

Yeah I looked, I'm quite sure the svx will bankrupt me just to keep on the road. I'm stoked to find out there is a mt swap easily availble for those cars though.

I didn't look at the volvo today, but it's still on the maybe list, my brother has a b5234t + 5spd layin around if I do get it.
