I'm sure this has been done, and I'm not trying to threadjack, but...

Anyone ever consider doing a 20v 7A-GE? Would that not be awesome?

Now watch me get pwned because it exists in some Levin or Sprinter that I'm not aware of... :hehe:

People have done it, just not MANY people. It's less common than the 7AGE 16v. I'm considering it as well as Colossus20v. It should be pretty sweet with some low c/r pistons and a turbo hanging off of it :P

It's toyota's LS Vtec!

If i had an ST, this would be exactly what i would do. Ridiculously high compression, at the very least 12.5:1, and rev the hell out of it.

Lol, that's what I tell people. Hell, it's the same. Putting a high-flowing head from a 1.6 on a 1.8 block.

Would probably need stronger rods for what you're talking about.

Thank-god Belfab makes H beams for relatively cheap (http://www.belfabracing.com/product_info.php?cPath=263_225_355&products_id=1314).

Alright, we're getting there.... now find me an AE92. Or wait... hang on.... Did the Chevy Nova ever come with the 4a/7a?

As I recall the No-go only ever got the 4A-F. Carbed. Of course that won't matter for the mounts, but I'd imagine it making the wiring more difficult.

I would think the lack of a FI system would make it easier to integrate. Less to integrate as you wouldn't have to reverse engineer the existing harness and you could go straight up with the donor harness and ECU.

BTW you have read the Snopes entry on the Nova and the whole No Go right? :hehe:

No actually. I just know it's why they failed in Spanish speaking regions...

Makes sense it being easier. I should learn to shut my mouth when it comes to anything with a carb, it just confuses me... :hehe:

Well I'll be damned... I've batting zero lately, eh? :)

And I totally wouldn't buy that notable dinette set! No table! :hehe:

It's okay, it is one of my character flaws. I always have to be right.

The one time the wife proved me wrong, she danced around the house laughing at me. 3 years later and she still likes to point out that one time she proved me wrong...

:hehe:

I have always been fond of the Nova. After all, it was teh Subcompact back in teh day.

May as well go even more off-topic now that this is it's own thread...

I'm obviously not a muscle car guy, and this is a prime example, but I always liked the Nova over the Chevelle because of it's size. My best friend has a '73, the plan's always been for me to help him build it when he has the time and money.

Lately though, he's been a pain in the ass and trying to give up and sell it. I keep talking him out of it because I know he'll regret it. It's scary how similar it is to you and Mudhoney. :hehe:

murg needs a 22r or 22re powered ride, i mean its not like its gonna break, and if u somehow get it to rod knock other than running with no oil for weeks, it will still run for 25,000 miles or so

I could just always buy that Celica-Supra and swap a 22r into it.

I just think the SBC would be so much more fun.

hmmm cam'd 383 with hooker longtubes, edlebrock intake manifold and a holly 800cfm 4bbl, hooked up to a 700r4 with reverse vavle bodies, hows that sound to start?

The headers would almost certainly have to be custom. I doubt any off the shelf parts would fit. I would prefer to stick with a manual tranny too, what would be the fun of a car that fun if you couldn't row the gears?

If we keep this up, they are gonna have to split this thread off to.
