finally got the motor back together and got the car running. it's been almost a year since i drove it.

for those who don't know or remember, approximately a year ago i pulled the head from my motor in order to upgrade to larger valves. things came up and i abandoned the project for a while and finally was able to get started again a few weeks ago.

i didn't install the larger valves. i did however have the motor balanced. i port matched the intake to the tb. i never realized before but there's a few mm of restriction there. i also put another header on. other than that there is nothing new done to the motor. everything else that you see in my sig is still the same. i do notice that having a well balanced motor make alot of difference in the way the motor revs. it accelerates and moves throught the rpms alot better.

anyway, i had forgotten how much fun it is to drive this car. the car is really quick. it's a blast to drive and i'm glad to be back in the drivers seat.

as soon as i get my laptop back from toshiba, which has been the absolute slowness, i'll get some pics and vids up.

oh, and the body kit is history and the car is bact to the sexy ass stockiness that it should be. gots me some rims and tires on it too! next thing i'm going to tinker with is suspension upgrades. oh, and the boost is coming soon. that's right....i'm selling out.

the camry header is installed. it definately woke the motor up. that header is actually a pretty decent design for our motor.

i haven't been gone. i just haven't been as active the past few months due to computer woes. i've been going to the library every couple days to us the interweb and make sure you fools are behaving...jk. i've been keeping up with things and posting regularly. you fucks just haven't noticed me.:) anyway, i'll be around constantly again once Toshiba sends my laptop back to me.

Cav, i'm gonna run a ct26. i'm not so sure when i'm gonna drop the money on the project though. i'm in no rush atm and i enjoy the car the way it is for right now. it's just something that will eventually happen.

Turboing a 10.5:1 compression car isn't a big deal...

i was sitting here yesterday trying to figure out what green meant by that question. then Ben comes along and answers it like a pro. it never once crossed my mind that he was refering to my comment about boosting the motor.

up yours Blumenthal. :)

BTW... glad you got your celi back... I miss driving mine so much when i park it... I only drive it in the summer... that i went out and bought 2 other ones... :)
