You'll do well your first few runs. Then once you start "Getting the hang of it" and start aiming to cut down time, then you'll nail a shitload of 'em. Hahaha

so i guess i should turn traction controll off too?

I went out a little last night and hammerd the car into some turns in a parking lot trying to get a feel of it. jesus that fucker can hang in a turn

Corvettes steer really well with your right foot.

Use the attributes of the car whenever you can, if it tends to oversteer come hot into the corner (causing understeer) and use the throttle to get you turning.

holy fuck man. I had a blast at that. best part was that i womped on my dad in his own car. :hehe:

course was a little over a half mile according to my gps. My top speed was 63.5mph, with a time of 50.710. my dads fastest lap had a top of like 55mph, with a 55second trap.

I def think he needs some suspension and tire upgrades for the car. the same production vette as ours was running right before us with just racing slicks on, and he was doing 47second runs

oh.. I didn't spin out once, and only killed like 3 or 4 cones in my 8 laps :woot:

Did you give him our addy? Oh, and yeah, some of the "Stock" class vettes have several thousand dollars in shocks...

Looks like a real nice surface too. The ones close to me don't even compare.

I might have to come out and visit you and your autocrosses someday... if you guys ever hold an NT I'll be sure to head your way.

I never saw the kid around his car to talk to him, so no. and that would explain alot with the suspension. But i dont feel that i did that bad going 3-4 seconds slower then guys that have been doing this for years, when im in a bone stock vette

I had some questions on the classes too.

I saw a few cars that were racing in different classes. whats up with that?

for example, I was in SS, there was a elise there that was marked with the ss, and he was racing with a different class. Also a ss vette later put what looked like oss on, and was racing again. wtfmate?

Um... not sure, being a regional race it's up the the region to set up the classes. NWR pretty much just follows the nationals format. With us it's usually if your class runs in the morning you run, then in the afternoon you run TO (Time Only). Sometimes it can be a husband and wife team so SS(Super Stock) in the morning and SSL(Super Stock Ladies) in the evening. Or someone can run the car in a street tire class or Novice or whatever.

IE: STS cars fall below the FSP category and will sometimes run both (one driver competing in STS and one in FSP)
