View Full Version : Does anybody have these?

So I was browsing through Ebay a little while ago and I came upon these light for my celica.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/90-93-TOYOTA-CELICA-CLEAR-CORNER-BUMPER-LIGHTS-GT-GTS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33708QQihZ021QQitem Z310086167427QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Now my question is if those lights that go right next to the headlights acutally light up or not cuz the ones I got right now dont.

There are some folks that have those. The bumper lights aren't that bad, but the corners are ghey. Everyone I know that got them wishes they had gotten the real JDM lights those are patterned after.

As for your current corners not lighting up, change the bulbs and I bet they will work just fine. There is one screw holding the corner in, pull them out and you will see the bulb comes right out from the back, takes maybe 5 minutes to change them both. The bulbs will cost about $2.

So those corner lights aren't really worth getting then?

No, they don't match the rest of the front end trim.

this is true, I actually had a pair because they came in a large pile of celica parts that I bought off a guy (which is also where my bumper lights came from). I ended up selling them.
Murg is right, they do not match the front trim in any form which is why I didnt keep them, they have an under laying black trim which is topped with clear plastic that covers the open chrome portion.
Whats even more ridiculous about those corner lamps is that surrounding the open chrome portion is a trim piece with fake hex heads on it.
If you are going to do anything, only get the clear bumper lights

No, they don't match the rest of the front end trim. And, having seen set a while back, I think they look even worse in person. Took me a lil while to get used to the jdm ones (with the one end of the lens knid of bulging/flaring out) but I love 'em, now. Gotta thank Brad/Celicaboost (I think that's who sold 'em to me a few years back) for those and the jdm bumper lenses.

It's not all that hard to get teh actual toyota ones either, even brand new. I think Champion still carries them (at least, they had some when I was there about 10 months ago).

1sttoyotaparts has them, so does RHDJapan.

try and find the clear bumper lights that have the same texture as the stock ones. they're hard to find, but worth it. i had the totally clear ones on my car a while back and didn't like them. i found some "diamond" texture ones that matched the original lights really well and they didn't stick out too much on the car. made it look very clean.

Yeah I regret using them corners for awhile. And eventually ended up with JDM ones on my GT. I do have the bumper lights on my trac though and they work for me.

I'd go that route like said from either RHDJapan or 1sttoyotaparts.

I bought them. Waste or 60 bucks. Not totally I guess because I still have the bumpers. Bought the Toyota JDM clears and haven't looked back. For the clear bumpers you can just buy them seperate. DEPO sells them.
