I have an 89 GT-S that I'm planning on switching from an auto to a manual transmission. The auto is slowly dying, piece by piece and instead of pulling it out and rebuilding it, I think it will be better in the long run to pull it out replace it with a 5-speed.

I've got the transmission itself, but i wanted to make sure i get all the right components to complete the swap. My "to get" list so far is:

-Clutch master cylinder
-Clutch slave cylinder
-Clutch set
-Flywheel
-Shifter linkage
-Shifter assembly
-Clutch pedal assembly

I've been told i might also need the console and the parking brake handle from a 5-speed car, but I haven't been able to compare the two to make sure. Not too many 4th gen drivers around here and the junkyard car I bought the tranny out of was completely gutted.

Is there anything else I'm forgetting? I'd like this to be as painless as possible.

Thanks in advance :)

I'm not too well versed on the swap, but I can answer the other question.

Center console and e-brake are identical. In fact, I've got one out of an auto 'vert in the 5 speed coupe right now.
