I actually have that part but I have it sitting in my garage. The pic below is of it when I had it on my car a while ago. I got mine from Summit Racing. Sorry about the clarity but they were cell phone pics.

GTO makes the only one that looks good on the 5th gen. The OEM toyota ones are don't go with the car as well.

What about the rear window sprayer, it looks like this visor doesn't incorporate it?

Its does compliment rain guards rather well as I have those too. Oh...and there is a little slit on the top of the deflector for the winshield sprayer. Never use that sprayer due to the fact that I dont have the car outside that much...lol.

Ebay is the only place left you can find them i think. Used to be able to get them at RHDJapan for cheap, but they ran out. Expect to pay out the ass.

$85 dollars?! When I got mine, it was $50. But then again that was like 2 years ago.

will this go on a GT hatch back as well?

Not sure as the glass on a liftback seems different..

10-08-2008, 06:07 PM
Damn, double post. My internet goes to crap when it rains. Anyhow. I did not know the GTO version was out of production. I might need to go see if my neighbor wants to sell his.

It's actually GTS, not GTO, the way they make the "S" on their logo the end almost go around and touch the rest of the letter so it looks like an "O", and GTS stands for GT Styling, so the ones on summit are the "GTO" ones.

I see. Your right. It looks like a GT"O" from a distance. Good to know. That should help the searching.

I would give Summit a call about theirs, I've had VERY VERY good business transactions with them in the past. Always friendly. I'm sure they could work out a shipping arrangement with you.

so how do these things attach and does it really help airflow? If you have a rear spoiler is it not going to affect the air flow to the rear?

extremeskillz
10-24-2008, 04:00 AM
they stick on with 2 sided tape and air flow i do not know. I will have to see for myself. It may help somewhat but the rear spoiler is still doing most of the work though. it does provides shade for the rear seat. and if you have the rain guards like i do the spoiler will compliment them well.

WHERE DID YOU FIND RAIN GUARDS FROM??? I NEED THOSE BAD

Bought mine from RHDJapan.com when they had them. Now you'll be lucky to find a set on ebay but be prepared to pay a lot for a rare item. RHDJapan had them for like 75.00 bucks and they shipped it fast to my door in like 2 days. But now they are no longer made :(

^Painting the deflector sounds interesting. Hopefully it holds up. Well you know mines staying smoked to match everything.

Not sure if it's an option to order this clear or not but I know allot of guys used to buy the clear headlight covers from GTS and then paint the backs of them so the color showed through but the rocks and stuff didn't chip them. Just a little tip from my ricer days.

Rain guards are bad ass though

It looks great but now the rear wiper binds on it. Like I said I don't use the rear wiper and maybe a excuse to remove it but i really didn't want to. I may remove the deflector and try to refit it a different..if there is a different way. I installed it myself but def could of used the extra hands.

I'll probably wait to put it on the car until the rest of the car looks nice.

I'm weird about putting on nice new things when the rest of the car looks like kaka.

Man, good thing I saw this thread. I was just about to get one of these on e-bay, but for almost $50 more. Glad to see these aren't as hard to find as those rain guards.
