does anyone know if this tire size will fit without any issues?
the offset of the wheels would be 40.

i saw GRUMPY's post from a while back. the offsets were quite a bit different. and it didn't end up working for him.

it's a 5th gen ST by the way.

How wide is the wheel? Can't tell you just based on the offset.

I'm running 215/40/17 on a 7" wheel and I have no problems. If the offset is for a 7" wide wheel, you might have to roll the front fender. Check my pics. Imagine that setup but your rim would be 5mm more outward and the tire would be 10mm wider total. So you'd be looking about 1cm further out compared to my setup.

Thanks

Actually check this out http://www.celicatech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15361&highlight=offset

First post, the person is running a similar setup to yours except his wheel is a +35 offset and 15" rims, so it actually sticks out 5mm more and it doesn't rub except for the rear. You should be fine. According to that he actually had rubbing in the rear. So you might have to roll your rear fender. Remember not all tires are equal some of the tires might be wider despite the fact they're both 225.

i have a gt coupe, and im running 205/50/16 with 32 offset. the rears come close to touching the fender but are ok. the fronts i had to take the inner fender (gaurd) thing because it was rubbing. Also my car is lowered by 1.5 in. is yours lowered??

No, you won't have issues from that set-up.

I'm running 215/45-16s on 7th gen GTS wheels 16x6.5. Unfortunately, i couldn't tell you what the offset of those wheels are.

No rubbing, and i'm dropped 1.5-2".

I have room for 225s.
