View Full Version : Monza Exhaust includes?

Basically I need a new exhaust.

So I'm wondering if the Monza (Pacesetter) attaches to the front pipe?

Basically: Monza Exhaust - Front Pipe - eBay header = complete exhaust?

Monza exhaust attaches to your cat.

...So that would be a YES?

I don't know?

Ebay header have a cat that ends at the same exact location of the stock cat?

The eBay headers delete the first cat, but the lower one in the front pipe is still present.

I'm 99% sure that the monda include the large right angle that bolts up to the front pipe.

The 5th gen in the US has only one cat unless it was the California edition than it has two cats. The one cat is in the exhaust manifold. I'm guessing the Monza is a catback so it should bolt up to the ebay header. That's my guess, I don't own a ebay header or Monza exhaust, I do have a full exhaust on it right now though.

Well, isn't there a cat in the downpipe? That's why it's so honkin'ly large?

^I think that's actually just toyota's terrible design. I think it's nothing more than a collector.

The catalytic converter in non-Cali Celicas is a direct-fit (read custom and therefore expensive to replace) piece directly under the exhaust manifold which acts as the collector. It sits between the log-style manifold and the downpipe.

Underneath the car you'll find the flex pipe and then the resonator.

im pretty sure that the monza exhaust just bolts up to the ebay header...

NOO :thumbsdow the Monza exhaust does NOT bolt up to the Ebay header :thumbsdow

I have both the Ebay header and Monza "cat" back exhaust...the Monza connects just behind the stock Resonator...sooo it would gooo

Header-stock flex pipe- stock resonator- Monza rest of the way

ahh ok...my bad...how hard was it to hook up? just cut and clamp/weld?

hardest part is gettin the Original exhuast off, once its off its just striaght bolt on/up, with a lil fine tuneing on the angles when u bolt the pieces together... i had to cut flange? connector piece, w.e u wanna call it off behind the resonator and put on my own new piece cuz there was no way i was gettin those 2 bolts off and the stock exhaust connection apart

ic...sounds easy enough...does it sound good? did you notice any gains in performance?

sounds great.. defeintly KEEP..DO NOT replace ur stock resonator with a straight pipe or itll sound like ass...ebay header makes it alot louder, and adds a lil rasp that im not to happy with but ill survive....and yeaa a lil performance gain nothin to crazy thou

ok, thats what i wanted to know..ive been thinking about getting one but i wasnt sure how itd sound..
