Surfing another forum I came upon this:

http://www.marcmedina.com/6speed.html

It looks like a lot of work but since I have no clue on the subject I wont give any opinions. Any case, just FYI

thats actually the stock tranny for that car I think its called a levin but im not 100% the car that the black top is in I dont think anyone has tried to swap that into a 5th.6th gen st yet.. maybe the motor not the tranny... that swap has been done in a few mkIs over at owners club.... to swap that into a celica it would be much easier due to the shifter assembley/linkage is on the front of the tranny already setup for fwd as that guy had to take the entire shift assembley off of his mr2 trans and put it on that tranny making it able to work in his car.

If I'm not mistaken, the transmission he is referring to is from a Levin BZR AE111.
And I'm pretty sure it comes with some kind of LSD standard.

Like Burnyd said, to swap that transmission in a 5th gen should be much easier because the Celica is FWD like the Levin.

You can buy the transmission separate, but it seems the best route to go is buy the full clip, which comes with 4AGE 20v Blacktop. And I say this because that transmission is geared for the peaky 4AGE... not sure how well it will perform with your 3SGE... or if it will hook up right... don't know enough about the transmissions. But I did find the gearing on Wikipedia:

1st
3.166

2nd
2.050

3rd
1.481

4th
1.166

5th
0.916

6th
0.815

A and ZZ series engines have the same basic bell housing pattern, therefore pretty much any trans for either family will bolt up to any engine from either family.

Flywheels/clutches aren't necessarily as easy.

I think Joe(Colossus20v) mentioned that the 2zzge clutch fits on the 4age 20v. So maybe some of it can be easy :P
