SPS = Solo Performance Specialties...

We all had to have that sticker... and yes, she was cute. She was also one of the drivers of that car.

Sweet pics Joey, and congratulations! :D

P.S.

You fail for not having a CelicaTech sticker among that mess of adverts you already have on your car. :p

Well I've been trying to get Gina to get me a .eps of the new Celicatech logo. The kind she used on the hoodies. But no such luck. Dave said that cosmic was the one who made them but, of course, no one can get a hold of him.

Yeah, we need to do something about more stickers.

I have a set on Chaos and Mudhoney, but what do I do when another Celica joins the fold?

KoreanJoey

Well I like the new logo better than the simple text in the circle deal.

Someone needs to find me a .eps of it.

What Logo?

You mean the one that got voted on for our new stickers and then nothing ever came of it?

All the peeps that have Ctech swag have the script in the Toyota Emblem logo.

Yes, big rubber.

Car felt really good, I think I hit the brakes all of twice. Rest was a little lift and throw the car.

No power = momentum car.

Good job. Now it seems there are few st18x cars that are fairly competitive in autox.

I am curious if a lower final drive would help your car in these events. It might be cheaper than raising the power level. I am not sure if that will affect your classing though.

I can use any LSD/diff combo in FSP (F Class, Street Prepared).

What about ratio combinations? The fwd rav 4 gearbox is a tighter gearset with a lower final drive. Maybe its a cheap alternative for getting a quicker acceleration.

I sort of like longer gears myself for autox so I don't have to shift as much.

Way to go Joey!

What rims & tires are you using?

Have you ever used spring rubbers on any car? Just curious.

KoreanJoey

I'm running on SSR Comp Cs 16x7.5 with Hankook Ventus RS-2 245/45R16

And what do you mean spring rubbers?

I've run race tires in the past. Both Kumho V710s and Hoosier A3s and A6s.

Next season I'll probably pick up some Hankook Ventus Z214s in the C71 compound in the same size I'm running right now.

Thanks!

I have also been considering those same SSR rims. Good to know they work well. I thought that might be the same rim, but I am glad to see you are also running 16 inch rims. I have been going back-&-forth with 16s vs. 17s but felt the 16s would be better. I think you need a little sidewall to be really quick.

Spring rubbers like the NASCAR boys use. You stick a rubber section (fitted to the spring) inside the spring to reduce the compression and make them stiffer. It can be removed after the race for better day-to-day driving.

I am considering using them instead of replacing my springs with stiffer ones for SCCA racing like you. I like the progressive Eibach Pro-Kits I have for day-to-day driving and "playing", but I feel they are hurting my times in the SCCA because my rear end seems to be rolling too much and I think it is hurting my times. I have the biggest swaybar on there I could find (22mm).

I thought the springs rubbers might be a good compromise to replacing the struts and springs. I was wondering if you had any experience with this in your racing.
