View Full Version : '81 22r sparkplug gap?

I scored an '81 Toyota 4x4 for $100! It has the 22R (carb, not efi) and I've lost my manual. Does anybody know what spark plug gap should be on this one?

I know this isn't the place for trucks but the same engine came in the early Celicas, right?

I always gap everything at .045".

That might not be the right gap, but that is what I gap everything at.

Unlearn that shit if you ever get a turboed car Murg.

Id say .045 is fine for most NA engines.

Gap of 0.032" so says this (http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Stepho/eng20R.htm).
