They should be, but here are a couple things you need to know. For one, make sure you disconnect the battery and wait for quite a while...I forget the amount of time, before changing it. The reason is, the control module for the air bag has reserve capacitors that will need drained, turning on your headlight circuit will help drain them faster, you dont want some random spark setting off your air bag while swapping. Another thing to consider is that you must make sure the steering wheels are both in the same position when swapping them, and must MAKE SURE that the one you are swapping in doesnt accidently turn a revolution in the process, otherwise you'll break your clock spring

Thanks for the info, I don't have air-bags, Cause its a fourth gen....
Also i wanted to know, is A good place to split the assembly At the joint Forward of the firewall? im removing the ignition assembly, sig arms tilt control all in one piece! hopefully this will make wiring and ect. easier?

yep yep! Alot less Scary too... Imagine the airbag blowin while your all in there with a screwdriver, trying to get a stripped screw out... You probably would shit yourself, then realize the screwdrivers stuck in your forehead!
