the stock gt transmission is not going to like that much power.. well tq atleast..

if you want to spend the money you would want to get a fwd v6 solara tranny, otherwise look into a mr2 turbo transmission... all of the parts you have from your clip will work for making that solara or mr2 tranny work in your fwd swap... check out the FI stickies about it.

Find a E153 with LSD and then check with the MR2 guys and see if you need to build it up, then you just need the MR2 Inner shafts and the All-Trac outer shafts and to alltrac hubs/brakes up front. Other than that, any GOOD speed shop should know someone.

^^ its all over the FI sticky forums...

mr2 tranny and solara v6 transmission and st185 transmission are all the same bell housing... theyll all work with the same motor...

camry v6 solara trans has I think its tripple coded synchros there really strong....

but check out the stickies on the converstion if you still have your clip youll pretty much need only mr2 inner axles other than that your pretty much set..... other than whatever clutch setup you will want to go with....

E153 tranny will NOT need anything done to it to handle that. It'll laugh at you, call you a pussy, and ask for more. MUCH more.

Unless of course you're BurnyD. Then it'll blow to hell and back if you look at it sideways, out of pure intimidation of his chisled bod that makes at least 2500whp, and runs 14.69s on foot.

^^ if you feel like spending the money for a solara v6 manual trans there by far the best to handle the power.. I had a friend pick one up for 450 with 50k on it.......

Im not 100% if it is factory LSD Some say the diff in that particular trans is althought IM not 100%..... the 93-95 mr2 turbo trans 93 is an option... but came with LSD... those transmissions are rediculously expensive and cannot be rebuilt unless you have some serious bank!

but if you have everything from your clip from that awd e153 you should be okay to swap in one of those transmissions.... minus a new clutch setup and Mr2 inner axle stubs...

If you go to your local Toyota Dealership, they'll be able to get you the part number for the V6 Solara LSD, so yes, they come with them. They're absurdley expensive, but they DO come with them.

First off i would suggest looking for a manual tranny.....

I don't really know of anyone that has done an auto 3sgte with much success, sorry. :(

I haven't heard of a manual Lexus ES300...... So you may want to move along and stop wasting your time with this guy neither of you are sure about what's going on.

You want:

1) Solara V6 manual transmission
2) Camry V6 manual transmission
3) MR2 Turbo transmission

In the Camry and the Solara, you're looking for mz-series engines (i believe 1mzfe is the only one, but i could be wrong,) and a 5-speed E153 transmission.
