View Full Version : Surewin or 3sgte header

I am thinking (as shown in another post) of doing a turbo project later this year ans if I do obviously I am going to get a 3sgte header.

But assuming for a second I decide not to and just do a few other minor mods instead can i please get opinions on header choice.

I was looking at either a surewin, 3sgte or camry.
Pros and cons of each?

5 catagories to be judged on (score out of 5)

1. Cost
2. Availability
3. Performance
4. Ease of installation
5. Sound. (where 1 = rice rocket, 3 = stock, 5 = throaty growl)

Thanks peeps.
I have a 92 GT coupe Automatic if that makes a difference. I have heard some autos have header issues...doesn't make sense to me but thought i'd mention it.

3sgte doesn't have a header.....

So that narrows it down a bit for you.

What? Ok, exhaust manifold then (with turbo port) isn't that the same thing and isn't it compatible?

Am I totally looney?

I'm not real sure how or why you would run a 3sgte turbo manifold on an n/a 5sfe....

I'd go with the camry header, or try to find a 4th gen GTS header.

If you want a camry header, pm me, i have one i'd like to get rid of.
