Hello,

i thought i would present myself and show you guys my car.

Im 18 and this is my first car, its neither a DD nor Weekend car, i use it whenever i need to go somewhere, could be everyday or once every 2 weeks.

Its a 1992 GT, comes with the 3S-GE.

Only got a couple of mods.

Eibach Pro-kit springs
K&N Replacement filter
RAZO RA43 Shift Knob
Celica 7th gen 16" 5 spoke rims
Auto kool alu radiator
New smaller battery and battery mount
ive removed the rear seats

Ive tried to lighten the car, so far removing various things ive lost about 20 kg from the car.

Here are some pics:

I think I want a GT-S so I can swap a 3SGE into it.

I really like the engine the more and more I see it.

Nice car.

Really smooth looking. I agree with Murg, everytime I see a nice 3sge I was to bring my GT back from the dead and do a swap.

Some updates:

Here are some pictures of the removed rear seats and brackets:
http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g204/balang_479/Toyota%20Celica%20GTFF/ToyotaCelicaGT-TwoST182BenComana-7.jpg

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g204/balang_479/Toyota%20Celica%20GTFF/ToyotaCelicaGT-TwoST182BenComana93B.jpg

And at the moment I'm needing a thermostat, i bought one online but they sent me the wront one, so i might go to the toyota dealers to get a OEM one.

What a hassle to get to, had to remove the alternator and some other brackets as well.

Quite a pain to get to though...

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g204/balang_479/Toyota%20Celica%20GTFF/barca087.jpg

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g204/balang_479/Toyota%20Celica%20GTFF/barca089.jpg

And had some trouble with the thermostat, it opened too early, around 71c when it should at 82c, so i put some washers on it and now it opens at 78c. The engine would run cold and consume alot of petrol, for now it seems to be solved.

Saw some pics of my wheels in white and loved em...

Buffed with grey scotchbrite then:

1 coat of primer
4 of white paint
3 of elastic clear coat..

im very happy with the result:

such a clean car man. I'm 18 as well and my GT-S is my first car, i really want to find a set of those GT-S rims, they're nice. I really like the white. is that just a sticker on there that says toyota or what?

balang_479

white type of paint did you use?..did you have to remove the rims or you just masked off the tires..and how long was the process..im thinkin about painting my rims as well..same 7th gen wheels

sorry about the ridiculously late reply but ive been busy with uni and stuff...
The seats come stock in the ST182 here in EU.

For paint, i simply masked off tire, sanded wheels well, 2 light layers of primer, 4 light layers of white and then 3 layers of plastic base clear, so its flexible and rocks wont chip it, its held up fine for now, still look almost like new.

Ive cleaned then with a brush and normal car soap and theyve held up fine... ive chipped one wheel with the wheel socket wrench but the paint seems to be pretty durable, ive driven in gravel, mud and it looks like new.
For extra durability i suggest a plastic based clear coat, so that its slightly elastic and more resistant to flying debris..
