What problems will I have with rubbing/ tire clearance if I have a 40mm offset? I know it's been recomended someplace that they be 36-38mm offset but really I can't see 4mm being that much different, but I also can't find any good links on the subject. I found some 17x7's with a 40mm offset for cheap, and I'm considering. Also if anybody has pics of a 165 with 17's I would like to see them.

I have an '88 ST165 and ran 1995 OEMs 15 x7 with a 45+ offset. Fronts were fine but it rubbed the rear strut towers. A pair of 3mm spacers on the rear wheels solved the issue.
