i was wondering with the trunk hinges breaking and all. wonder if it would be possible to set it up on a set of cylinders instead of hinges. smaller set at the rear and longer at the back that'll allow me to open up larger

They usually just need some lube. Get some spray lube. Teflon or whatever.

Wow... k, new hinges it is. I'm not aware of any adapted hinges for the Celica but I'm sure you could fab up something.

would like some input on you alls opinion. just throwing things around in my head.we have the 4 piston idea which would involve pulling the lid back and up, i thought about suicide trunk and making it open out, or maybe fabbing up to where the trunk worked off a couple of electric window motors. what do you all think? one thing im never sure on is the clearance between trunk lid and the car body on the opening ideas but i thought i might as well throw that out there
