How much are you filling up a tank on a 00/01 GT (7th gen.)??

I'm considering to buy one.. but is it ok?

My 7th gen GTS takes about $55-60 to fill up from empty with premium.

Just as a point -- what does the size of the tank have to do with anything? You could have a tiny tank and get a nice small fill-up cost, but where you'd save in weight you'd more than lose in repeated fill-ups.

On the other hand, a gigantic tank has the opposite benefit, but looks to cost more.

Plus you'll mostly get answers from Americans, and gas prices are just a tad higher in Metro Vancouver than they are south of the border -- or east of Mission, for that matter.

The information you actually want (courtesy of searching: "Toyota Celica fuel" on Google) is as follows from CAA Quebec:

Fuel consumption (Celica GT with manual gearbox):
- Transport Canada rating: city: 8.7 L/100 km (32 mpg); highway: 6.6 L/100 km (43 mpg)
- Test result: 8.5 L/100 (33 mpg)
Fuel tank capacity: 55 litres

And that is what has gotten us into this mess.

Not only that, we like use irrelevant data make comparisons. Like cost to fill up (nevermind that different cars have different tanks, and different areas have different fuel prices), or miles per tank (nevermind the different tanks and different consumption)...

This is even more irrelevant...

I spend about $50 to fill up the Cobalt, and about $57 to fill up Howard in northern Minnesota. I get about 400mi to a tank in the Cobalt and about 300mi in Howard.

Still irrelevant, but slightly less so...

The Cobalt is running exactly 36mpg right now (to the nearest tenth ;) ), Howard is running 23mpg.

I know you were specifically looking for costs on a 7th gen Celica, and you still asked here, despite having easy access to that information (in a more relevant format) elsewhere on the web, so I'm guessing there's more to the question than just "How much does it cost?" Perhaps it's more like "Convince me to buy this car?" :hehe:
