My fuel pump is toast, and I meant to get to it last week, but I had too many irons in the fire. Seriously, though, $250 for a stock replacement fuel pump for a 1990 GT w/ 5SFE? I have plans in the future for some more upgrades, but for right now I don't need anything ridiculous. Does anyone know what fits in the stock location that is cheaper?

$250 isn't bad, I paid the local Toyota dealer $360(part only) for mine.

But unless you go with a high-end pump, like the Walbro that Andy suggested, do not go aftermarket! Stick with OEM if you want the stock pump. If you never run the car below 1/4 tank the Toyota pump will outlive your car. Aftermarket ones go very frequently. Most aftermarket ones will have a lifetime warranty, it just depends on whether or not you want to have to install it again.

I know a little about the Walbros, but will using one cause any other problems? I'm worried about it being overkill and running too rich until the time I decide to do some serious upgrading.
