This officially my first post since I've joined the site. I've been browsing for some time now on here and have taught myself quite a bit from everyone's knowledge on here and it's very helpful. My predicament is rather simple but also frustrating. I'm having a very difficult time finding the speaker cover mounted behind the mirror anywhere. I've tried ebay and just general searches on yahoo and google. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

haven't had any luck with finding remanufactured parts. Tried my local junkyard, found a 92 celica with gt trim, but no tweeters behind the mirror they were solid plastic peaces. I wasn't sure if there was anyone remanufacturing parts out there or not.

How much would you pay for one? I really have no idea what they go for, haven't seen any for sale in forever.

I happen to have ONLY the driver's side on the black car, and i have to go back to the pick a part on saturday anyways, and i can see what i can find for you.

I figured they wouldn't be to expensive prob no more then $15 bucks I mean it's not to big of a peace of plastic. I've never really dabbled to much with fiberglass but if I had to make my own I could.

Just checked and they are still available @ $19.70 each.
no part number listed but you can find them in the collision catalog by following the drilldown:
Door\Door and components\Cover\W-speaker (or without)

Yeah, that's probably what I'll end up doing. I have to fix the wind whistle coming from the mirrors before I attach them permanently though.

that is right folks, my dad IS a bad@$$ :ohyeah: ...lol. and in all reality, if the clips are broken, that is the cheapest most cost effective way to solve, or reduce the problem. I would say that the shape of the mirrors dont help the wind sound problem.......

Wait is that the tweeter cover we are talking about. I would love to replace mine as they are held up with silicone? Also when it says w/ speaker does it come with tweeter and cover and w/o cover without tweeter and cover only?

Easiest way to fix it is to remove the tweeters from there and mount them in the kick panels. The imaging that you get from doing this is 10x better than the stock location!

BTW I did have the tweets originally in the mirror pods so I can guarantee they sound better lower to the front.
