You know what I think would be a really cool thing to see produced, which wouldnt be that hard of a thing to do, if it was popular enough or sought after enough, would be an adapter plate to run a gen3 3SGTE manifold on a gen2 head. In light of doing the gen3 electronics conversion on my car, I want the gen3 IM but nobody makes an adapter. A few people have made em, and they work, but nobody has disclosed info or wants to make them.

You should ask the MR2 guys and see what interest would be. I know Id be interested.

also, a one piece intake pipe for ctXX series turbos. Either out of aluminum or SS with the two nipples and flared ends for a good grip!

Hes got a 1 piece intake pipe.

Its just for an MR2. You need a straight pipe for the celica cause of your engine bay design IIRC.

id actually would like a pipe bent in the same way the stock hoses and metal sections are already. That way theres no extra work to make it fit ie. relocating the battery, extending the maf wires relocating the resistor pack.

Well, he has one.

See if thats what you are talkin about.

nah i dont think that will work, maybe if i relocate the battery. Id like it bent and to sit in the same place as it does right now. If he could do that, id buy on asap

I just realized that only works with cars who have removed the afm or have a gen3 swap.

I know Joshua Boam over at Chico has altered one for this, he is working on an adapter to take up the slack of the TVIS. Its been awhile for an update on the project, but he has a few pics I believe on the site. It would require sending in the Gen3 intake manifold to have it worked, then supplying the individual with the adapter plate. Wouldn't be to difficult really, as long as the process is ironed out.

well, tash, id really like to see a 3in intake pipe made for the st185 chasis for the ct series turbos. Either made out of aluminum or stainless steel, with the two nipples.

I'm looking into the adapter to use a Gen3 manifold. It's on the back burner right now until a few other projects get completed, but it's definitely on the list ;)

Regarding the intake pipes and other piping you guys are talking about, that is all really easy stuff that I can get made fairly quickly. But I dont have a Celica here to look at for measurements. Can you guys post a few pictures and point me to the particular pipes/pieces you're talking about?

heres a pic of a 3sgte rc, i think they should be the same. I think all you'd have to do is bend three pipes to a 45 degree angle, weld on some nipples, and flare the ends.

Ouch!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Hmmm, the pipe shouldnt be a problem. But I see no room to put an air filter on the AFM. What do people typically do for an intake? Any example pics you could show me?

they're are companies that make AFM adapters that allow you to put an air filter on the AFM/MAF. Personally i got mine from 935 motorsports. Most people do that and just put a filter. I had a cone filter on mine and its a snug fit but it does fit. I think the ideal way would be to have a mushroom filter or an oval filter. Here are a few pics to give you an idea.

The AFM adapter is no problem. We already sell those: http://www.emspowered.com/storefront/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=45_2_3&products_id=184&zenid=5b6d27753e7a6d0cfd8ee0b1094a8e5f

I guess I just need to find a local with a 3sgte'd celica that I can borrow for a couple of days to measure/make a full intake for it. Is there anyone in the Austin, TX or surrounding areas willing to drop their car off for a couple of days?
