FWIW I have a Gopher aluminium radiator that I got from Hong Kong (via Ebay) for similar money and I am very happy with it. I don't know what the ASI ones are like for quality but it certainly doesn't look bad.
From memory I think the 165 radiator (stock) is slightly smaller than the 185 so that difference may just mirror the difference between the stock sizes. How thick is your stock radiator?
I know my Gopher one is quite a bit thicker than the stock 185 version and the car runs about 20-30% cooler with it.

hi Steve,

The rads are brand new untested...the prototyping (group buy) of the ASI st165 rad is being done over on alltrac.net.

note the lack of top mounting / pick up points.

Gary

cs3633- I shall take some measurements, unless any one has some to hand?

Hi Gary, I shall maybe wait and see what the general thoughts are on the radiator then.
I did note that there was no cut outs, so to speak, for the top mounts? Hmmm

Hi Steve,
I set up that group buy with ASI to produce the 165 aluminum radiator.
Unfortunately, as Gary mentioned, there are some issues, the biggest one being the lack of mounting points on the top tank. The radiators have all been sent back to the factory for correction but it adds more wait time. They have never been fitted into an ST165 yet, so we don't know how they will fit yet.

We went with 42mm (OEM is 32mm) to avoid clearance issues and to allow stock fan usage. Another club member had a PWR aluminum radiator that was 42mm and he said the fit was tight. I wasn't going to take a chance on 52mm or 56mm and have fitment problems. Shanghai is looong way away from here!

I'll post up on www.alltrac.net with any new updates.
Cheers, Rick

Still ongoing; they screwed up the first prototype.
