ok heres what i found, 96 5vzfe 140,000 miles all service records from toyota and the engine just had all belts hoses and fluids changed .The engine is comming from a 96 4 runner that was totaled in the rear. the vehicle is owned by a man in his 40s(spoke with him a few minutes ago) and was driven by his mother. now i just got a message saying that he would take 600 cash for me to come out there and pull it myself, talked him down from 800.

now if i get this engine heres what i'll need
m/t 5vz ecu
possibly get 22re to 5vz wiring harness kit from otr
weld in mount brakets, availibe from otr
clutch
n/a 7m bellhousing
custom exaust

my trans will work with this engine and i could probally do it all for less than 2000

the engine with an auto behind it stock makes 190hp and 220 ftlbs, not bad

what do you guys think?

Yes! Seems like alot of work, but a good deal. I'd do it, then turbo it. :sneak:

If you do it, write it up, then I will read it in wide eyed wonder.
Sound like a plan?
