Because Play don't Play fair.. and killed teh suprise...

I am obtaining my 4th gen celica back. The friend I sold it to is in need of $$$, and asked if we want it back. Teh wifey said yes (as she noticed how much I miss driving a stick). The only thing is that I have a feeling (friend) blew the motor on it. I am going for a 3sge swap now.

I have most of the parts sourced out and on a held order (pending it's what I need). I am looking at a 2nd gen (89 gts) 3sge motor, ecu, and wiring harness for $500 bux.

A clip if you can find one is a start. then if not you can probably source them individually. this is the less recommended route to take but you can start at places like ebay, local car yards, or here even. But like i said if you find a clip with all that on it your better off.

Well he lives in an apartment complex, and really won't have room to store the clip is the problem. That's what I told him in the first place.

Rent a reasonably large storage shed with room to work on stuff or find someone that has a garage that you can do so. Weather generally isn't an issue in AZ, so snow and extreme cold aren't in the picture.

extreme cold my ass...this winter has been unseasonally cold (20-30 degrees colder than normal)

Its -3F right now.

Its 69F right now in Phoenix.

Looks like we have you beat here in Indiana. :D

But seriously, your environtment is more hostpitable to auto enthusiasts. Call around to storage companies and ask them if you can rent a shed for three months and over that time, gain all tools and parts needed for the swap or whatever you end up doing and see if they allow that kind of stuff.

Well shucks.. that was easy..

It's actually Celibaby, I'm getting her back next weekend. The friend we sold it to is going thru financial issues, and needs the $$$. She has a lead foot, and I fear the 3sfe is finally killed.
