so after 2 months with a dead truck in my driveway i finally finished the carb rebuild (no it wasnt that hard, just been busy)

later today ill take it out for some test and tune, probally put on a new fuel filter.

im really happy because hopefully my vert will be gone by saturday, and this leaves me 2 running vehicles, so now i can move on to getting my 3rd gen running(fuel pump)

FIGHT!!! lol I havent seen a fight since hs.....bunch of dumbasses there though, I never got in them. That's cool though, howd it all turn out? My grand prix could probably stand a carb rebuild but it runs good enough that I dont care about it. I do need to change the fuel filter on my celica, and all my vehicles for that matter

yeah it runs alot better, before it would run really shitty and beltch black smoke, now, very slight smoke only at W.O.T with a very slight miss when cold, plus its sat for 3 months in my driveway and has maybe 1 gallon of gas in him. I need an air cleaner assembly, gas, and tune the mixture skrew and all should be well

His '85 GT-S is a well done, well suspended car and if prepared right, will give a lot of cars a hard time on the track. This includes an AE86.
I've seen it for myself.

I haven't seen Joe's car in person but I can tell you that the pictures that I have seen are proof that its a really well done car for having as many miles on it as it does.

Hey Joe post up more pics of that truck...or PM them to me or something.

It looks good for FREE if I can recall.

My celica seems to miss real slight when its still warming up a bit and I'm giving it a little extra throttle, but it doesnt happen that often. I dont think any of my vehicles throw black smoke under WOT except the celica

I love that truck.

Whats done to it and whats planned?

And what the hell happened to that OCB__DaVe___OCB guy that had the ugly green celica and then got the truck. I remember I first saw his car on CarDomain and I think that may how I found this place.

There's a reason why they run forever. For that same reason, its known as one of the most reliable vehicles ever built.

You just can't beat Toyota quality.......

my old 82 pickup long bed ran great dad bought it new and gave it to me a few years back. it was just as clean as 85gtsblackman's but that damn valve cover gasket!!! until some jerkoff ran a 4 way stop out front of my house. battery fire made it to hard to fix. RIP 'whip'

the thing had sat for 8 years, after some tinkering, 3 gallons of gas, a fuel pump, carb clean, free battery, and getting rid of all the wasp nests it made it home
