what do you mean by "good Lift"? can't I just slapped it on stock settings? If I get 15" do I still need to lower the car? The rims that I have right now is stock 14"s alloy

it won't make your car sit too much higher if you keep the proportion of sidewall to rim size the same. what size tires are on there? i'm sure they would do for now.. i had 17s on my car with 45 series tires on them, and it didn't raise it too too much.

It has the recomended size 215/40-17. It came off a 04 Celica GT or GTS (not sure which trim). The owner said that no mods was done on car when he had those sets.
I could also go with this rim GT 15" but need to replace the rubbers on them. But I like the 17"s better.

Get the first one, and basically, it just makes your car sit just a little higher... I put 17's on my car with 215/40s and it looks like I put an inch lift on it... but they fill the wheel well nicely... I'll have to get some back shots and compare them to my old pics I took when I blacked my tails out.

It can depend on the tire, but a 215/40R17 should only produce an overall diametre 0.31 inches greater than the stock 185/65R14

It is mostly tricks of the eyes. As long as you stay with the right size you will not have any problems.

I had stock 13" wheels on my ST, I went with some 205/40/17 tires on 17x7 wheels. This is the proper aspect ratio for my application. It makes the car appear to sit higher, but it is just an illusion do to the smaller band of rubber.

You will not HAVE to lower your suspension or modify your car in any way to run wheels this size. However that is not to say they will fit perfectly. If the offset is not correct, you may have tire to fender contact. However, since they are coming off of a 7th Gen Celica, I am sure they will fit fine, folks around here run 7th Gen GT-S wheels all the time.

Went & got the 17"s. Got the whole set with the tires (90%) & lug nuts for $400.00 cdn. Not bad coz the 15"s that I have in the garage will cost me a good 700.00 for new tires plus it's only 1" bigger than the stock 14"s.
