View Full Version : Tinkering night with the SC300 (56k GTFO)

Here are a few pictures of my SC300 tonight after doing some work that you won't notice.

I tightened the throttle cable (Still needs an adjustment)

And then I removed the rear ten inch factory sub that sounded like shit. It allowed more bass to flow into the cabin from my set up in the trunk.

I was having problems with my idle on the car being roughly at 300 RPM. For some reason, adjusting one of the throttle cables raised that. Its a little higher than I'd like (950 instead of the 750 I want) but I can fix it. Note that the car has no idle adjustment screw on the throttle body, as its electronically controlled. The car now is more snappy off the line and can spin the tires like a freak from a dead stop. Over the years, the cable probably needed an adjustment.

Hopefully I won't return worse MPG. We'll see.

I wired the cornering lights to be DRL's with a switch under the dash. I drove through a big puddle and got water in one of the housings, so the driver side light is on its way out. These replaced the side markers on the side of the bumper, which I painted black. I'll get new bulbs soon.
