View Full Version : If'n You Be Needin' New Tires

www.tirerack.com It's that time of year again and Tire Rack is starting to closeout tires again. I have bought several sets from them over the years and no complaints. Shipping is cheap, ship time is quick, and you can even have them delivered to the place you will have put them on if you don't want to lug them around. Two years ago I bought a set of Bridgestone Potenza G 009, normally $144 each, I got them for $49 a piece. Each year the manufacturers and retailers go through their overstock and try to liquidate what they have too much of, what they won't be making anymore, or what they will no longer be selling. I try to get my tires when i need them around this time of year not only for the savings but because I feel the tire industry is a racket, $250 for one tire? Gimme a break!
Anyway, this usually lasts through March, new closeouts being added every so often, but the different tires go quickly, so don't hesitate if you want them. One of the killer deals I saw this afternoon was on a 215/40/17 BFGoodrich Scorcher T/A, the ones with colored stripes, normally retailing between $150-$200+, they were only$30, and they are sold out already. I'm not a big BFG fan but that's a helluva deal!
Anyhow, just figured I'd everyone a heads up. :bigthumbu

oh snap! i am totally there! i need some new 215/45r18s for the mazda. something all season cause i'm sick of being the slowest AWD car on the road. damn potenzas. they handle good dry but damn do they suck anywhere else. i can whip the back end sideways on a damp road. it may be just the power i am not used to though lol

I'm leaning towards a set of 215/40/17 General Exclaim UHP if tax returns are good enough. They have been getting amazing reviews for being so low in the price range. They rank #1 over like 50 other tires in their category. Oh, and the BFG Scorchers are back on there but the number they have left is very low.

Dammit. I still have your tire. :(

I need to get out of my slump and get your tire to you if you still need it.

I sure could use it, but I know you've been real busy lately so I didn't want to bug you about it.

I know, I feel like a Grade A Schmuck for not having taken care of it ages ago, but shit has been rough. I will do what I can to get it taken care of this week.

That would be great mang, it's been sitting off to the side for several weeks now. Give me an update on your wheel situation on Chaos too.
