Right now my girlfriend has a 1999 Saturn SC2 with the swing out suicide third door. She wants a Toyota product so she can be cool like me...lol.

Originally, we found a beautiful pearl white 1992 Lexus SC300, but we really wanted to trade the car straight up for it, but the seller said no.

We then found a 1994 GS300...again no trading.

She always has liked the seventh generation Celica.

Anyone know a good place to find one for around $4,000 and what to look for?

for 4k you can find a nice corolla, 6th gen celica, or a older lexus....it will be really hard to find a 7th gen for 4k, maybe 5-6k with a bit miles.

4k isnt going to get you a 7th gen.. unless it has a ton of miles on it.

4k will get you a camry/celica/ possibly a solara.

So I have noticed.

Unfortunately she will probably just keep it.

She should sell the saturn then look for a car, you have alot more purchasing power with cash..

Saturns arent bad cars though!

She needs something to drive...so yeah trading is our best option. In the summer I told her she can drive the SC and I'll drive my 72 (provided its ever drivable again.

Cash is always a power player, but it would be nice to not have to worry about selling it.

You want a female to drive your car? Either its going to be wrecked, have shit spilt in it, and poorly maintained (washing applies here too) Or all of the above.

+ I would never let a girlfriend borrow my car indefinitely unless we were engaged and living together. Which may be the case, I dunno. Otherwise, hell no.
