Lame. :thumbsdow

Looks like it would have went faster with the stock engine, and it wouldn't have cought on fire either.

Jet engines are really slow at first... Thats why people take them to the salt plains. They build up power over time and take off at higher MPH. They only got up to like 80 before pulling the chute.

the music was nice and was wondering too if they had the stock motor too. wonder what they did with all those stock parts they strip. probably toss them away. would love to go threw there dumpster that episode :bigthumbu all celica parts like the dash, seats, carpet, doorpanels and more.....

It would have been more interesting if they just supercharged and upgraded the stock motor.

You can put a jet engine on a dumpster bin and it will move. So woop-dee-doo they used a celica carcus instead of a dumpster.

thats not really true, if it were then air plane run ways would be insanely long. Jet engines, if you know what you're doing, will take off in a hurry. Only going 80 in a jet engine is pathetic

I saw that episode. There were a lot of problems with that build that caused them to go so slow. There was no motor in the car IIRC. That was the whole point of the show- ridiculous builds. They turned a convertible 92 mustang into a high speed lawnmower once.

really do wonder what happen with all of those parts as in the motor, airbags, seats etc.....

waste of money and time and show, i wish there would be a show with real custom builds like major engine swaps into cars that you wouldnt expect that would, i think that show would be awesome!

wish that show was still on. it was awesome.
anyone remember the truck engine powered trike? that was probably the coolest thing they ever made.

i like the hayabusa powered turbo charger go-kart. built by little people was the best to me.

they just auctioned off the semi powered trike on barrett jackson on the weekend
along with a bunch of other monster garage "vehicles"

Actually he's right. You can dump a shit ton of fuel to force thrust, but a jet isn't efficient until it is moving at a very high velocity, turbines suck ass at low speeds. :thumbsdow Poor celica.

They made that swap look easy. Please refer all future "how to swap fwd celica to awd" posts these guys.
