I'm shopping for an all trac hood for my '91 Celica GT hatchback and I have a couple of questions:

1) I got a seller - Is $400 CDN a fair price or should I keep looking?

2) Will this hood fit perfectly on my car and can I install it myself?

Thanks in advance.

the hood will fit perfectly and you can install it yourself, although it would be smart to have a friend help you so that u dont scratch your fenders. As for 400cdn, i dunno, i would sell mine for 300 plus shipping, lemme know if ure interested

Cool thanks for the info. I'm still a little broke from the holidays so I'm not rushing. However, when I'm done "window" shopping I will consider contacting you for sure.

Same for me. A brand new one from Toyota lists for $388.07USD and www.1sttoyotaparts.com has it for $287.17USD, however I believe the vents do not come with it.

What color is your hood 19celica90?
its factory medium red pearl. The paint code from toyota is 3h4.
Greyscale, i know the hood is only 288, but the two scoops and middle scoop add up to about 200-275ish, so its around 500 for a hood. 2yrs ago i paid around 575ish.

The carlos sainz hood is cool, but it was intended for a large intercooler to fill in that hole, right? I haven't seen any good top down pics of the hood on a car. Is there a mesh? Or do you just look right through the hood and see a 5sfe? I would love that hood on my car...

Nope, reason for the vent is to evacualte hot air from above the turbo charger, which meant the RC/CS/Grp A had to go to a WTA intercooler. Which toyota wanted so they could more easily tune the car.

There is a mesh screen in place. And from the factory, the hood came with the thick heat insulation blocking all the vents. :lolhittin So to make proper use of the hood, the insulation should be removed or cut out.

on the gtfour, if you look straight down, you will see the turbo and heat shield.

Well thanks for that info... I would really like to put that hood on when I do my cs bumper and wheel bearings soon... Know of any photos anywhere? I'd like to see how heavy the mesh is. Also, does it come with the hood or is the mesh a second part number?

(Sorry, don't mean to jack the thread, but I think he got his answer)

If you scroll down, you will see some pics of the mesh.

In the FAQ/FYI section of the forum, there are RC hood part numbers.

You can order an entire hood from Speedtoys.com
