well last week i was at the junkyard and there was a 2004 pontiac vibe with a 1zzfe with only 38,xxx so i picked it up thinking i would sell it on newcelica.org which i did for 500.

then my luck on craigslist for was a 2000 celica gt 5spd locally for 2500 with blown motor and some nice 16 inch motegi wheels. i called right away and picked it up. so i am swapping the motor out as you can see with the 1zz-fe that i got from a 04 pontiac vibe.. took the bumper off to sand the bottom part cause the tow truck driver chipped the paint.

the other vehicle was a 92 civic 4dr. i was at the police auction. they ripped the bumper off by towing it. the great thing is the CAR HAS ONLY 23,XXX. it was owned by a old man. picked that up for 700 bucks. i ran a car fax report and it was a one owner and it was the original miles. do not know why it was there. picked up a bumper from certifit for 35 bucks new. the motor is spotless and still has the original honda spark plugs in it. the thing runs like a champ. looking to sell it after i get it painted from maaco.

also my sister picked up a 00 corolla that needed a front bumper and a hood for 900 bucks, the pics are the corolla before painted at maaco. it looks much better know. bought the corolla from the insurance auction. also i bidded on a 2007 scion tc that was missing headlights, bumper and airbags. for 2500 and some one out bidded me for a 100 bucks and picked it up. really wanted it too.

as know the corolla/matrix/vibe needs three holes drilled into the block for the axle support to bolt on and drop it into a celica. well after i took the motor apart. i swapped out the bottom pieces that connect bewteen block and oil pan where you drill the holes. so after swapping that out there was no need to drill hole here are some pics of what i am talking about

mostly to turn them around and make a profit. here is another miata i have been driving. bought it for 400 that needed a top, paint bumper and a hood. after about 1 grand. it looks like this. was thinking about slapping a greddy turbo kit on it. but just going to keep it as is and sell it. plus ran out of money. this little money i had saved up for a new mr2 i just spent on these cars.

Seems like some good pickups! Hopefully you'll make enough back for your MR2.

Oh BTW, that Civic will prolly be running longer than you'll be alive, i cant belive there are only 23k on it.

you should totally turbo the civic add a huge wing and some 15" rims and race it.

...don't forget the underglow

the corolla was bought at a insurance auction and you do need a dealers lisence which was not hard to get. you had to fill out some paperwork and show them you have lot or a shop to put the cars and some other few things and you are good to go. the civic was bought at a police auction. it is open to everyone and anyone older then 21. last week they had 01 vette and a 1997 celica that was both banged up pretty bad. the 2000 celica was purchased from craigslist.

the vibe was rolled over and hit in the front pretty bad. luckly for me the thing was hit so hard there was no front end so it was easy to pull the motor out. it took about 2 hours. it was a self serve yard. i picked up the motor for 105 with tax and if i bring in the old motor they will give me a 30 core charge. so the motor came out to 75 bucks and a maaco paint job 3000 total for everything and i will sell it for about 5500-6000 with a new motor and paint.

From what I hear they're great at handling. If you want more power I guess you could always swap the engine out for the Celica 7th gen GTS engine, 1zzxyw something or another.

Dude! did you check all your clearances? did you check the crank? you are NOT supposed to swap the block halves. they are line honed for each other. Toyota is good about their tolerances but you are making a huge gamble swapping those parts. i hope it holds to gether. i hope the crank stays in balance.

wow i need to head to the autions lol can find some good deals, im still kickin myself for passing up a little toyota pick up that my dad found at a police autions, the whole body was linered, and it needed a new back window and the passenger side window, it had a 4.5in lift and 33s, i turned it down becuz i didnt know if it ran and i wasnt there to actually look at it myself, but the guy that bought it paid 650 and had a key made and he drove it right off the lot

you REALLY can find great deals at auto auctions, there is one about 50 minutes from here. My mom knows someone who went to it, bought some Jaguar for either $2g or 5g and sold it for way way more. I'd love to get in to that and get money....might be an idea, but I dont have the money to buy anything worth while anyway
