when i first got my car i wanted to drop it and put a body kit on it but then i figured i better do one or the other if i still want to get in my drive way but then i decided not to go with the body kit at all and just lower it but now i cant decide if i should lower it or not, i dont see alot of celicas lowered so im not sure how it would look, atm im running my steelie rims with 185/65/14 tires and new rims and tires are still a little waise off and i plan on swaping back to the steelies when winter rolls around again later this year, so what do you guys think? should i drop it or just leave it where it is?

I would do a 1" drop. Wheels can be had for cheap if you look hard enough. I picked up a set of 6gens wheel and tires for $100 15". Their is also the Scion Tc 17" wheels you can get take offs for around $450

meh I dont like the look of scion wheels on many celicas. The one problem I have with the 5th gens is the way the ass sticks up, so lowering it wouldnt be bad but I havent seen just 1 inch kits for it. Wheels can really set off a 5th gen though if you get a good set

Eibach Pro-Kit is a one-inch drop.

Check Slider's profile to see tC wheels on a fifth-gen. If they weren't so heavy, I'd already have picked up a set.

I found the eibachs at 1.5 not 1...maybe I need to look around some more.

try a set of vogtland springs. You can usually find a set of them with kyb gr2 struts on ebay. I got mine from there for 350ish shipped. and they are really nice. 1.5" drop though (see sig). Every now and then I see the same seller selling the same vogtland/kyb set for 5th gens. Thats what I'd go with if I were you.

ok guess ill look into the 1" drop then, i looked in to tC rims but for even cheaper then the tC rims i can get Drag DR-8s, i get a discount from my work so i can get wheels and tires for about $500

Heh -- with my 1" drop and a couple of 200-lb friends in the car I have to creep over speed bumps or I catch the suspension cross-member.

love the scion tc wheels. and go with some coilovers. so after a kit or not you can always adjust your ride height as you please.

what coilover setup do you suggest?
