thats ultimately my pick, but the option for a curren facelift on the 6th gen is whats keeping it in the running.

And it's a Toyota versus a Nissan! (Even though the SX is one of their better efforts!) :)

Tough call

I see a load of 240's these days.. it is a bit played out to me, a Curren is very rare even a conversion is hard to find. I have seen a number though, looks great! Just, it will be FWD unless you are serious about some fabrication. That will probably be what makes your decision, both cars are completely different in nature.

you obviously missed my for sale add on 6gc! pssstttttt!

haha, if you dont have a addiction to mis 90s toyota sports compact cars like most on here... 240s are the best platform you can go with... id prefer s13 over s14.... big fan of coupes...

$2000 for an early S14...sounds like something's wrong with it. Seems too cheap. Here you'd be lucky to get a decent S14 shell for $2000...

just a little fun fact for you. april of 2005, I bought a 95 240, price was $2100. had 209k miles, nothing wrong with it. so, early 2008, 95 240 with 170k miles on it for $2000. The reason i think both of them are in the 2k range is the fact that their base models. I want an SE this time around, but this car i'm buying now, whatever it may be, will only be a DD with minor bolt ons at the most.

Zenki's are pretty ugly as s14's are concerned. Just my opinion. Their value is determined strictly on a car by car basis. Kuki's (97-98) with the "Shark Face" fronts are the s14's that really hold their value. I would only like one for the much nicer interior compared to the s13.

I always kick around the idea of a 6th gen for a DD. Sometimes when it's rainy or icy I just don't want to be driving a rwd car. Also there really good looking cars to boot. Like everyones saying. they are completely different platforms. so It's going to be your decision in the end of what fits your needs more.

I'm not familiar much with the 240 platform other than knowing what it is and what it can do. I do like the later versions that were sold here in the states. There is a pearl white one not far from me sitting in a junk yard, but I'm not remembering if it was wrecked in the front or not.

I remember it being an SE model though. It had really cool OEM tail lights. Looked like a nice car.

so there is one about 15 minutes from my house, the guy said friday would be fine so i'll go check it out. I was down around that way anyway last night and did a walk around, looks good. 95 240 se, manual. paint isn't perfect, there is an interesting indentation on the front bumper, but otherwise its all good. $3500, has rims, exhaust and intake, all of which i'll probably change down the road, but i'm almost positive i'm buying it.
