Could you inform me more about this? Is this just like a club for Toyota enthusiasts? I'm just curious because it sounds interesting. Thanks KJ.

Toyota Motorsports is a motorsports parts assistance program for people who race their cars.

Basically if you race AutoX, Road racing, Rally, ETC. You can sign up for the program which give you half off list on all OEM toyota parts. If you want more information you'll have to read through all the info same as I did.

Email me if you want the packet.

Not a lot of work for me :) I just want to make sure people read the packet as I don't know more than what's on there and would hate to have some sort of misunderstanding.

Yeah that's pretty standard. But if you need any parts feel free to just order them. I got my parts before I got any of my decals.

So, Does anyone have the details about requirements for the program? The paperwork doesn't have any details. Do you have to prove entry into x numbers of events etc? What is the parameters?

Best bet is to call Phyllis at TMS. She's the main contact person as far as registration and payment is concerned.

No, racing breaks stuff.

Its a great scheme this. I really wish we had something similar over here in the UK.

Toyota UK sponsor our series, but we get no discount :(

Ya, this is a very nice thing that internal Toyota has provided through these grassroots styles. Please just don't abuse them, its not exactly on the front page for Toyota execs so they aren't exactly aware of our deals. We wouldn't want to bring to much attention to the Toyota Motorsports program we have here.

Why bother rebuilding it?

Short block, celica, w/turbo - 2.0l, 2.2l 1991-93 - 2.0L, 2.2L 1991-93 90-93 $1,968.00 $1,416.96
Includes: Block, Piston & Rings, Connecting Rods & Bearings, Crankshaft And Main Bearings.

That's through 1sttoyotaparts.com

You should be able to get a whole new bottom end for under $1100 through TMS.

I'd appreciate any help to keep down the cost of building a race car from my semi-derelict 86.5 ST. I'll be using it for HPDE in NASA s.e. for now, if its a reasonable car to do that with. I've not seen any Celicas at track days, so far. MR2's but no Celicas.
