I'd like the H4 conversion, and the glass housing is a plus but I dont know if they are any good. I asked him if the bulbs meet SAE requirements, so I guess I'll find out if the bulbs are worth using at least. Also considering doin an HID conversion, but Im trying to make sure everything else is in order first

Run screaming from the cheap pieces of crap.

If you want an actual upgrade with a good -- as in better than DOT -- beam pattern, pick up the Bosch or Hella housings.

If you want an upgrade with a massive improvement in beam pattern, get Cibie housings.

Any of these three will put more light from the same bulb on the road where you need it, and not disperse half of it upwards per DOT regulations. To get more overall output, look into bulbs that aren't covered over with a blue tint which eats half their lumens. Beyond standard halogens, look for Philips VisionPlus, GE Nighthawks or Osram (not Sylvania) Silverstars -- these are ultra-high efficiency bulbs which produce about 50% more light than standard, though their lifespan is considerably shorter. A compromise would be high-efficiency bulbs, at 30% more light and the usual life.

ahh DOT, thats it lol and yeah I kinda figured....but I want more than a bulb in the housing, I want to be able to remove the bulb from the housing

Hella, Bosch, Cibie = housings (200mm rectangular, specifically).

Philips, Osram, GE = bulbs (H4 specifically)

No you the stock housing is sealed. However these new housings allow you to use H4 bulbs that are removable (they're a sealed bulb instead of a sealed housing).

I've used Silvania Silverstars in the past and they were ok but from what I've heard (not first hand experience, yet) the Osram Silverstars are the way to go.

Well the housings aren't good is what he's saying... Cubie makes a housing but from what I remember they're a bit pricey, the Hellas are a good value, read what he has to say as those are Headlight conversion to the H4 replaceable bulb housings.

Yes they're the housings for the H4 bulbs. No they're not sealed.

The European celica came with H4 lights stock that are actually shaped like the front of the celica. I converted mine about 10 years ago.

I have autopal housings with H4 HIDs and my housings are great. They have a better beam pattern than the E-Codes.

i was looking at a kit like that, but they are the "HID type" with the single hid lense and the reflector is blacked out and i was thinking maybe if they redirect the beam a little (not like cheap crap is going to do much) and i figured if i got them and a HID conversion it would look pretty sweet
