how do i know if an axle has abs or not

The axle will have a small ring on the outer (wheel) side that looks like a small cam gear.

is it suppose to be on both axles? the passenger side has the abs but the new remanned one appears to not :(

Every axle should have a tone ring on it like the one on the left.

If you're not upgrading.. always OEM. Seriously. And I no longer have any vested interest in whether people buy OEM from me or not since I'm not selling it anymore.. and oddly enough, I still say... OEM if you're not needing an upgraded aftermarket. That's just my opinion I suppose, but I put my money where my mouth is on this one for whatever that's worth to you. Toyota remans are one thing, but an aftermarket rebuilt.. I don't really trust. There's a difference between a toyota reman part and an aftermarket rebuilt. If you care, I'll go into more detail, otherwise I'll just leave it at that.
