wow... i paid $80 for an alignment. i guess thats the going rate around here though..

11-16-2007, 04:50 AM
there is nothing expensive on that list....jeeze, go buy an alltrac then try to make that list again. 2 or 3 times as much.

i feel your pain man. i just got a minor service done on the rex.. $AU400 later.. in thelat 12 months ive also replaced the AFM ($250) and the engine knock sensor which cost $200. these things are pretty costly for parts.

11-16-2007, 07:29 AM
I dont get it? Your not fixing shit? Your upgrading things? You cant complain about that?

11-16-2007, 08:20 AM
Didn't you just get the thing and it already needs alignment? WTF?

11-16-2007, 09:12 AM
404 expensive not found

11-16-2007, 10:32 AM
it does have 42000 on it. but unless it has some serious wear or has had suspension work done then it shouldnt need an alignment. but its always nice to know its right.

i need to take new pics, that was a few days after i got it

ordered pads, waiting on guy to call me about rotors, probally gonna go ahead and order thermostat and a 1.4 bar rad cap to replace the top 0.9 bar one

calling a guy about a 90k 22re

11-23-2007, 07:17 PM
so today i ordered

front hawk pads 85 shipped
rear axis ultimate pads 40 shipped
front rotors 158 shipped

lets compare this to the gts

front beck arlney rotors 60, cut the rears myself
front pads 35 duralst gold (i really havent been able to overheat these pads)
rear pads 25 pbr metal masters (same thing as axxis metal masters)

but then the 3rd gen is the cheapest thing to fix next to the toyota truck

11-23-2007, 07:25 PM
I don't know, after years of working on old GM cars, I don't think anything is cheaper. Nothing is over $20. :hehe:

11-23-2007, 07:40 PM
3rd gen is just as cheap, compare prices of fixing gm now, plus u fix a celica from 1982-85 its usally good for 150-200,000 mile or 20 years

see the stuff i posted for the 3rd gen was like the top of the line availiable aka most exspensive.

toyota truck........i got brand new rotors for 13 dollars each

btw murg gave u some options about fixing your car, and yes i still have those 15 inch steelies
