for some reason the ep civic si wernt that fast at all. it weighed a crap load and its k20 only had 160 hp. i beat one in my friends 02 celica gt. i can honestly say that i love the placement of the shifter on the ep3 though. its the king of minivans in my eyes.

All-trac should have dusted him, unless hes modded i guess.

i didnt expect to win... as mine cant beat a light modded tC...

the civic mods are claimed to have CAI and headers. mine is 3" dp and boost 10psi. doesnt it sound like he had an exhuast? i didnt recall seeing him having an exhuast though.

i also had 1 person in my car and he didnt. my first time as well, i knew i let the clutch slip too long :zombie: . i should have done better. but all the honda guys there thot its a easy win against a 18 yr old car...

results: 1st round on 4th gear he is at my door, me slowly creeping away. 2nd round 4th gear, he is behind my car and me slowly creeping away on top end. i thot i was going to loose to vtec on the top end (still scratching my head), maybe if i tried an Integra GSR it might.

Just my thoughts, but if you're into racing a little why not spend 50 bucks to raise the boost and dust him?

He likely already has a boost controller, because he's running 10psi and stock is 7

Well, you could expect to see 10PSI with 3inch DP/exhaust without a boost controller.

with the 3" dp and no boost controller, i can only do 8psi. i'm probably not too good at launching 4wd's yet...

but then again i didnt expect the top end to be like it turn out to.

gotta remember the AWDs are heavy. so they hurt in the top end.

thats my disadvantage +1 person in my car and the age of the car. i was slowly pulling away on high end though. i should try a light modded integra GSR. :smokin:

i heard you flutter the throttle rather then hold at a steady rpm. thats what my friend who has a gsx told me anyways. as for street racing... im a lil against it. but i do do it occasionaly. i dont like the fact that you had a friend in the car. why kill 2 people. and just to let u know. an extra body in the car makes a pretty big difference.

i guess the idea of owning an alltrac is better then the reality.

celica91gts... i held it at 5krpm. the person was in my car because we were planin to just go straight home after then run but the civic wanted a second round so after that round we just left. i know i dont want to think about the bad stuff about street race, i know shit happens as well.

mar_phi6... we do quick runs out in the boonies.

i dont mean to flame you, im just stating my opinion. ive had quite a few friends get hurt from canyon racing. but 5k rpms? i usually hold it at 3 and even then i get some good amount of wheel spin.

with toyota cars i usually rev at 3.5k rpms... too much torque... unless the 4age i rev 4.5k rpms, same as hondas...

i launch at 5K at the track. way too much air in the tires for that on the street. i do idle launches on the street if i'm provoked enough.

on fwd there mite be alot of wheel spin but let the clutch slip more and stay on high rpms... vtec/vvtl will kick in.

i launch at idle-to 1800 rpm

see when i take off i have anti slip, aka the body squats down on the rear wheels so they dont spin

oh wait u guys cant do that
