Got some pretty sweet pics. Was my first time AutoXing, but I'm way addicted already. I'll be doing it a lot more now. From first run to last I shaved off about 4.5 seconds. So not bad for stock suspension.

On with the pics. Rolled down to Denver with a few buddies from the CSU car club. Here's the three of us when we first got there.

Stock car like bimmer. Had the full roll cage and stripped interior.

Badass Vette.

All taped up and ready to rumble!

Really really strong showing for the MR2s. There were a lot of 'em there. I was kinda surprised actually.

There was also a supercharged F150 Lightning there that had way too much power. That was actually kinda funny to watch. What was even more funny was the fact that I drove an hour on the freeway to get to the event and still burned more gas on my 4 runs on the course. Can't wait till I actually have enough money to throw some at the sport.

Oh it was wicked!

I did ok. Didn't place real well, but who does their first time out? lol! I will say that between my first run and my last I did shave off a little over 4.5 seconds.

Dang it!!! I didn't show up this week because I was working. You planning on going to any other events this winter? Apparently my roomate who was co-driving a 96 civic, Mark, talked to you. Hope to see you at a future event.

Haha. Yeah, I talked to Mark for a bit. As far as more winter events go, I'm not sure really. Cash flow (Or lack thereof rather) is gonna be the main deciding factor on that. I'm definatly gonna get more into it once I get back from boot and MCT and all that good stuff though.

i went to 6 events this year. this was my first year doing it though. lots of fun. we have one more event this year. a one on one driving school. i have to drive 2 hours to get to my "local" event, but i get to spend the night with andy so its ok. i now have a full set of azienies for my car and am doing coilovers in the front this week. btw, im autoxing the rolla, not the alltrac. i did take the trac to one event but it didnt have the right suspension and the rolla was cheaper to drive down there.

Oh yeah. Can't wait till I can throw some money at the sport. I would have rather had my 6g out there for it cause it has the coilovers and such, but I woulda had to drive 2.5 hours to get to it, drive it a little less than 2 hours to get it to the event, then 2 hours back, and another 2.5-3 hours home. I was like "Meh. I'd rather just drive the 45 minutes to an hour and do the event in the 7g" lol

Besides all the Mr2s there was one sweet AE86. Shoulda got a pic of that. I'm sure somebody did. If I come across it, I'll post it.

Sounds fun, I want to do it, but I have MONSTER tires, no money, and I live a fair distance from any events. Thats not gonna stop me I'm gonna get to one eventually. Just a quick question what is that tapey ( no idea how to spell it) mess on that silver MR2?

Looks like he attached a camera to the side of the car with a ton of masking tape.

Yeah. Some people like to attach cameras to their vehicles at various points. Some have better designed cameras that are easier to mount, but that one in particular just had a sony handicam secured to a post by a little more than a grip load of tape. Some of those cameras are sweet though. This guy Gabe had one that had this mount on it, and it suction cupped to the top.

i'm surprised tech let that one fly, most places are very particular about things like that.

MCcelica

Nothin major. No name fart can exhaust, short intake, upper strut tower bar, and I put my 17s on there with the z rated exclaim low profiles. I did take my subs out for the event though. She'll get the treatment after I drop to reserves though.

i now have 6kg/mm short stroke 4 way adjustable coilovers on the front of my rolla with 3.5 kg/mm springs on the back with tokico blues.

im making a custom panhard bar next week and maybe some traction brackets for the back. i still need to buy some rca for the front before i go too low with it. the tires are at the top of the fender arches right now. it looks sexy.

fwd is actually one of the best setups you can use for autox... mods are generally cheaper and the learning curve isn't as hard.
my friend is very competitive in his hyper r:
