box right before the back 6.5 inch speakers? I've heard it's an amp but not completely sure. I wunna know what exactly it is and specifications on that unit before I upgrade the back speakers, thanks

if it is the one with a yellow cable to it then it is the collision sensor

If you mean the large ABS Plastic area where the speakers actually mount into, that whole thing IS the enclosure. Thats what gives the rears their "boom boom" ;)

ok didnt have time to get a pic, but that unit that says "livesound" on it is just an enclosure? A friend of mine thought it was an amp

no amps in your car, sweety :)

its a resonating box dealy, pretty much a bass box, kind of like a sealed sub enclosure.

sweety?! :squint: lol well ok then, I just wasnt sure, and since I was told it might have been I wanted to double check, I had my suspicions though....Chuck is an odd one who often doesnt know what hes talkin about lol

haha yeah.

if you're upgrading the speakers, dont remove that box. it actually gives a nice sound i have found.

No way to put speakers in the rear location without that box, unless you fabricate one.
That is actually a very well designed enclosure. Only thing you might want to do is deaden the inside of the plastic cover (gray plastic part) that goes over it, and make sure you use foam tape around the back side of the speaker so that you don't have any air leaks.
