Hi Fellas / Fella-esses,

Thought I'd give y'all a brief update on what me and the ST182 have been up to :)

In October I took it on the track for the first time, competing in a Toyota only sprint event. I'm not exactly up on US motorsport, I'm sure you have an equivalent though- Its basically a time trial over the lap of a circuit, one car at a time, competing against the clock.

I really enjoyed myself, the car performed great, again the biggest weakness being its driver :bigthumbu

Heres a few piccies:

and I entered this one with abit too much teddy :lolhittin

I managed 5th in class out of 7, and 25th out of 36 cars overall, so well chuffed :happyrun:

Enjoyed myself that much that i'd like to enter the full series (around 5 meetings through the year) next year

very cool! does your car have the 4ws? i wonder how much of an improvement it is than a car without it.

looks like fun, though. i was thinking about getting into autocross when i fix my GT-S up a little.

Ah so this is what you guys call autocross- that makes sense now, from the pics I couldnt tell if autocross was the same as UK sprints or autotesting! :)

The St182 doent have 4WS, that was the ST183. Although if my rear wheels look a bit out my rear bushes need doing!

Have a go mate you won't regret it- I was really nervous, but after my first launch you couldnt wipe the grin off my face all day! B)

I've always wanted to do it once i get the celica a little more peppy. Looks like loads of fun.

Nice pics, I see you guys have actual courses over there. Over here it's just a huge parking lot and the course is setup with cones.

No need to wait, I'm on stock suspension and having fun.

You should come up next year for one of the autocrosses.

Time Attack would be the closest we have here where we run on an actual track. Autocross is set up with cones. Both are the same idea. One car, one track against the clock.

That is the purest IMO, you against yourself.

Ah, time attack- thanks for that :bigthumbu

I'd reccomend it to anyone even with a stock car- ifact i'd have like to have started when it was stock, and seen the difference that mods made as I go along :)

looks like fun. are you running any suspension setup on your car. Seems to have to much body roll.

I thought that too when I got the pics back :)

Its just on eibach pro kits, koni sport inserts (max rear, slightly backed off fronts), whiteline front brace and cusco rear brace.

ARB's are stock (sway bars)
