i was gonna get the eibach pro-kit, but i decided to go a bit lower and get sportlines, which according to eibach's app guide will drop 1.5 inches.

here's why i'm asking. the wheels that i'm getting, the 18x7's are on backorder till the 26th of this month, the 18x8's they will give me for the same price and they have those in stock, which i could get right away. i just want to know who else is running 18x8" w/ 1.5" drop (if it's even possible)

Sounds like your going to have a snug fit there. I got some intrax springs on mine with some 225 17 40 tires on there, its a snug fit, some times rubs over rail road crossings. good luck, post some pics of your wheels when you get them mounted.

yah i figure the 18x8's will be just too wide with a drop. as much as i don't wanna wait till the 18x7's arrive, i will - because i know they will fit.

i'll definately post the pics when i get it all installed

I'll be running 18x8s with a 25mm drop shortly. I expect to have no problems at all.

how do the 96's compare to the 93's as far as room goes under the wheelwell?

I have seen a 18x gts with a drop running 18x8. You can do it. Just pick your offset right, and tire size accordingly. 235 is about as wide as you may want to go. You may need to roll the rear fenders. Pat's gt4 has 18x7.5" wheels and his car was lowered I think 2.5".

EDIT: I just noticed you are a GT. I keep forgeting about narrow body celicas. May want to hold out for a more narrow wheel, but it may still work.

i've decided to wait it out and get the 7" wheels, i figure i'll be safe this way. wish i had a gts sometimes haha
