I bought a run of the mill generic 'Civic' intake, cut a few inches off of it, and it worked.

shit just buy some mandrel bent pipes and make your own :)

I don't think it matters. Almost all of the Honda engines (B and D series) have the TB in the same position.

As for buying the mandrel tubing, sure, that works too, but then you still have to source the couplers. Those run $5 a piece, as well as the clamps at $3 a piece. Throw in a filter and you are already at or above the cost of buying a cheap Civic kit, with twice the effort.

Save your money IMO, you won't get any gains from a short ram intake. Unless of course your stock tubing is cracked like a lot of the Celicas are then go for it, it's a nice cheap solution. If you're looking for a little power go for a CAI.

I like the super sexxy sound and the ease of replacement for the filter element. A cop out, I know. but it is so sexxy when you open the hood.
