Nice, welcome. You'll find a plethera of info on this site...and some of the most random shit in the world. Your civic looked pretty sweet, but gotta love the grey celi. :)

^^Hehe thanks
the civic had a D16z6 sohc vtec, i was only running 11psi of boost and put down 212whp. It was good enough to dip into the high 12s (12.9 lol), but it was broken sitting in my garage more often then it ran. ;) i dont plan boost for my celica any time soon, but a new bumper hood and paint job will do for now. I just want it looking clean and running nice lol im sick of bumming rides off of my friends and family because my car ist working :)

Well you cant get more reliable then Toyota.
Although my Trac has spent more time sitting in my garage then I have drove it, my GT is running strong with nearly 400k bone stock.

welcome aboard, will enjoy the site. nice looking civic. 12.9 with a d16 at 11.psi, what else you have done to it.

^ Thanks, engine wise the civic was pretty stock. Just all the basics, injectors, stage 1 zex cam, hondata s200, p18 ball bearing apexi turbo kit. Exterior just had a knock off spoon lip, no name sideskirts, and buddyclub 2 rear bumper. I loved the car but i just couldnt afford to keep repairing it lol, i just need something to run until im done with school and you cant beat the toyota quality/reliability ;)

Well the civic looked really clean but youll enjoy the celica much more.

Welcome to the world of Celicas.

Be forewarned, these cars have a way of worming into your heart rather easily.

I used to build domestics. Always with an anti-import mentality. I bought my first Celica more than 7 years ago. Since then Chaos has out-proven herself in all aspects. To the point of leading me to another Celica. An even more involved project.

If you liked the turbo, and understood it nuances, reliably daily power is available in factory trim. Many here preach and have done the 3SGTE swap, or own one in stock build in an Alltrac/GT-4 and even MR2s.

The Celica platform is an rather nice one. Especially if you like to beat on a car. These are the only cars I have known that beg for more. Mudhoney, my 4th Gen GT, has had a rod knocking for a while now. The situation requires a catastrophe to justify pulling the engine. I drive her no different than I would a fine engine. She still performs as expected. The build quality of the mechanical parts has continued to impress me, beyond date.

There is a wealth of information to be found here, we welcome all questions. We have a very competent Search function. We have many very informative stickies in all forums.

The owner is a very active member of our community, and many of our members are highly qualified professionals. As well as pioneers in 3SGTE technologies.

Hope we can be of some help.

psshh 212 whp :)

that is one of the cleanest civics I've seen and 12.9 is a hell of a time for what it was. Celicas are fun, I love mine even though its kinda crappy but I'm gonna restore it. Are you plannin to do heavy mods with it or just keep it simple?

Welcome to CTech! Your civic is one of the only I"ve seen that I liked. Good luck with the Celica.

Thanks everyone! The civic was a fun car, but the celica is MUCH more smooth. I enjoy driving it a lot, but it could use some work... Hopefully i can keep the celica as clean as the hatch once i finish it :)
