Hey, I live in Miami Beach, Florida. I want to wash my own car and etc, but here there is no available running water in which to run a hose from, plus it's like not allowed to wash your car man. Popo be tripping. Any suggestions? The local car wash in my area charges 16.00 for a wash, and 120.00 for a good wax!? JESUS! :wtf:

Any sugggestions appreciated.

Check out a product called Optimum No rinse and shine. Its a waterless wash system, and has gotten rave reviews. Uses like a gallon of water per wash. Using that once a month and a quick detailer once a week should keep the ride looking nice year round. Of course a fresh coat of wax/sealant helps keep it clean too.

Here's my recommendation. Guaranteed not to scratch your paint or leave any streaks. Very soft on the car. I especially like 6 point windshield wash.

damn so they raping you there with no choice, thats bull about you washing your car and cops giving you shit, i could careless i would still wash that damn thing. i rather run a damn hose from the kitchen sink rather then coughing up 16 bucks all the time to wash your ride. specially if pc was in front of you blowing black smoke in yo face. you need a wash then.

Yeah, They are raping me, but hey I beat the system. In my back alley I changed the radiator to a Silla one. HEHE. You're not allowed to do that in the public. Don't worry I was careful and made sure not a drop of any type of chemical substances hit the pavement. Was hard because damn does that coolant leak like crazy when rinsing out.
HOLY CRAP! That link caught me by suprise! SWEET! :D

Yeah there,s no water restriction. It's that most aptartment areas, like my neighberhood, have like no water extensions and if there is, its by the main streets. The popo don't like us spilling chemicals and whatnot into the sewers. Like washing chemicals. 16 bucks for a wash isn't sooo much but damn, a wax is 40 bucks, and thats using like the cheapest stuff. A good wax is like 100, in my local carwash. It's because Miami is Miami. A very expensive place to live.

You get about 32 washes out of it, so for $16 it's a good deal.

Does it really do a good job? I mean it seems to simple but I don't know.

Anyone have some positive experience with this product?

A good amount of pro detailers use it if that says anything. I've heard nothing but good stuff about it. I haven't tried it yet because I bought a bunch of Meguiars stuff two years ago and there's still a good amount left. You can ask the people that seen my room, there's a large box of random detailing supplies that looks really out of place.

That my friend was awesome. :hehe:

Just wanted to give somebody a laugh. It amazes me that in some of these places you can water your lawn certain days of the week with 100's of gallons of water but you can't use 10 to wash your car.

We're under restrictions here too but I'm going to wash my car. It's a safety hazard to have a dirty windshield. I guess since it hasn't rained much at least I don't have to do it as often.

It's so stupid. I mean I can't do anything to my car. They just want to take my money damnit.

Here in Miami, it rains alot so that in a way is a blessing, because it kind of washes my car lol, I don't like water stains though bleh. I like the comments people make to me when my car is clean. I get them alot at work expecially since it was junky looking when I bought it. So hey, I just want to keep it sex-ay! :boobies:

That GT-4 is sweet looking by the way

so why are you not allowed to use water?

one thing i noticed that my grandparents in st pete have rocks for a front lawn along with lots of their neighbors :ugh:

It's not the water, it's that we aren't allowed to spill chemicals and whatnot

Blackcloud

so even if your washing with a bio friendly stuff the cops will raz you?

Duders

Possibly yes but for now, I'm gonna look into this optimum stuff. For the meantime, it's the gas station machine car wash, lol. What do you guys think is the best wax and detailer out there, I like the Meguiars stuff.

most states don't allow chemicals to go through public drains, but most cops don't bust your balls about car soap and crap. plus, there's environmentally friendly soaps and cleaners like simple green that should not be a problem.

I ordered some optimum rincse. IT's on the waaaay!

I was vacuuming my interior and some dude demonstrates some product called FW1 Wash & Wax. Sprayed it on my hood and so far I'm very impressed. Left the surface smooth and and shiny (I think) since my cars always shiny looking.

So I don't know, it's a good quick-fix solution when you get a dirt spot on your spoliler and whatnot
