The black celi could keep up pretty good.

Cobras are quick cars. They are two different breeds of power.

Power helps you very little where I prefer to drive. It is more about the nimbleness of the car, the capability of the driver.

I miss the raw domestic power. I still tinker with them here and there. I will never part with my '67 New Yorker. Now that is raw power.

But I still won't ever forget the time my 10 second 500 horse Camaro was spanked by a mass of little imports during a road rally. There is a serious appeal to being able to glide through a corner at insane speeds, instead of standing on the whoa pedal and feathering the throttle to come out straight.

Welcome to the site.

If quarter mile racing is all you are concerned about, don't make the mistake of thinking there aren't faster Celicas. However, it would be safe to say your car is faster than most Celicas you would encounter.

I hope you are seriously interested in various schools of hotrodding, as opposed to coming here to start trouble and 'bash on imports.' The Domestics vs. Imports has been done to death here. We welcome and accept all. Many of us here own domestics as well.

As you can tell, we are willing to accept you regardless of what you own. There are few communities that are as open-minded as we are.

Seems a bit rediculous that you've got 300 hp on a supercharged v8. I never really understood why they're so underpowered. Even with a 15 year old 4 cylinder has about 180 hp with very little modification. Seems with an engine that's about 5 litres you cobras should be at around 450 to 500 with no mods.

wow, dont bash dude. Mine is a 4.6, not a 5.0. And its not supercharged, and makes 320 hp, nice try though.

Thanks for the welcomes besides that (if i may say ignorant response). Looking to gather up some info. Not sure how my irs and aluminum block would help me on the track which looks like fun, just picking up some ideas and info

What sucks is its not the terminator motor.. its not a forced induction car :(... Just sell it and buy a 01!!!

I like cobras alot im not a fan of the NA ones but there awesome cars.

I see majority of stock Mustang GT's in that year going mid - low 14s.. but if your at the 300whp level you should go atleast low - mid 13s....

im at 300whp mark, and the 03.04 are the f/i ones. 99-01 are pretty much identical. Ive got gears going in at the beginning of the month

i love ford power.

i'm working on swapping a 302 into my 97 mazda B2200 pickup. one of my favorite motor builds of all time was a 351C/M400 that i had in my '78 bronco. i was laying down well over 400hp and about 400tq.

that 302 will be sick, you going to punch it to a 306 or anything? Stroker? Or just a stock block?
