This is day 1. Basically I took the car into my [aunts] garage, ripped out the interior and started some cutting. Unfortunately I had run into some problems. One of the supports for the fuel and break lines caused all 4 cables to rust through, and when we started moving shit around they all sprung leeks. So I think its time to get all the lines redone.

These are the pictures I took today...

Cars all hidden up in the ga-rag-e.

Engine bay with the fucked up hose (Bad bad bad cut in the hose...)

After i took out the trunk panels, this is how the floor and sides there look. Pretty good for a 15 year old car, just a bit of surface rust.

Picture of the whole car, and remy poking at the rust like its an alien or something.

Basically we had to stop because we had alot of gas problems and the jigsaw just wasnt cutting it...literally. My father brought over the grinder but forgot the bit so we could change it to a cutter blade. Remy is lending me his grinder for the time being (THanks dude! You da man!).

All in all I think we did a bit today and will probably get a few more minor things done untill I figure out how i will tackle the lines (They are in the way of my cutting of the rust, as well)

Hey that reminds me of my car! My floorpans weren't quite that bad.. but the inside of my rear quarters looked exactly like that. My fuel/brake lines are also rusted to hell.

Don't give up, just keep at it and it'll be done in no time.

PS - You have the dirtiest engine bay I've seen in my life!! Purple power + pressure washer = your friend! :bigthumbu

Actually its ALLL grease and oil. Basically, up here the roads are ice-proofed by salt in the winter, and im on the east coast so theres enough salt in the air/water as is. So im glad its that dirty. This isnt a show car, its one i dont want falling apart. no rust + dirty engine bay > rusty engine bay

Day 2 - Fucking angry.

Plans today where to remove the gas and brake lines and move the car to prep it for cutting tomorrow night. Shit went downhill. Fast. I was at my uncles garage and I asked the head mechanic what the best way to stop gas flow from the lines after I cut them. His answer? "Undo the gas cap. It will stop the pressure". Im like cool! Sounds easy enough!

SO I go out there tonight and start to cut the first line, no big deal it stops just like he said. Went to cut the other and it kept going....and going...and going. I ended up spilling a TONNE of gas on myself, and my street in the process. i put a hose on it for the time being. Im going to be bringing it to the garage to get them to remove the damn things. Cocksuckers. So as I type this my right arm is engulfed with gas and my apartment now smells like gas.

Did I mention I was fucking angry?
