Hi,

I present here my new car, a Toyota Celica Turbo 4x4 ST165 GT-Four bought on eBay UK.

I am living in France near Paris and I need someone to help me bring it to Paris on a trailer. I will pay for that ;)

Interesting how they put a MPH cluster in a car sold in a country where KPH is used. Granted, KPH is on there...but still.

Last time I looked we still used miles per hour over here.

No. We drive on the correct side.

LOL.. we certainly do ;)

we drive on the Left, in RHD cars.

Britain is a bit of a mish mash as far as units of measurment Speed are concerned.
Road signs, Distance, Speed are shown in mph, Yards & miles.
The Army AFAIK use Metric though.

But in GB you pump your fuel in Liters but drive in MPH? Insanity!!

I still think in (Imperial) Gallons, but the fuel is priced in litres.

If you want to be more silly, I'll estimate lengths in feet and inches (hell, even yards), but if I accurately measure something I'll use meters. Unless it's a long way, when we're back to miles.

So what do you guys measure shoe's in? We do Inches here but my Adidas say I'm a 11 1/2 US but in the UK I'm a 11. I'm guessing you guys also use inches but I'm starting to suspect the Queens thumb is a bit shorter then our inch :hehe:

Indeed same but a little smaller

So does that mean you're quarter mile track is smaller? I mean there are 1320 feet in a quarter mile. 1320 x 12 = 15840 inches in 1 quarter mile. Now using my Example 11.5 inches = only 11 in UK. Take the ratio of UK inch to a US inch, its about 95.6% of the US inch. Does this mean tracks over there are 95.6% of 15840 = 15143 inches so its only 1261.91 feet long??!! Thats about 58 feet shorter. Does this make sense to anyone??

A US inch is the same length as a UK inch.

We just do shoe sizes a little differently.
